PrEP Peers

We are looking for a diverse range of individuals with lived experience of being on PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis).

The aim of the PrEP Peer role is to help others navigate their own PrEP journey.

Your role might include speaking one-on-one with someone in person, over the phone, on video call, through text. You would answer questions, talk through concerns, and be there for someone who is thinking about taking PrEP but has some hesitations.

Topics of discussion may include your own experience around PrEP routines, side effects, stigma, or access to services. While lived experience is what makes this a peer role, you do not have to discuss any personal experiences that you don’t want to.

You will be supported by Waverley Care staff and also receive further training on PrEP and be empowered to bring discussions of PrEP, HIV, and sexual health into your daily life.

Are you…
