We are excited to offer a new outreach sexual health clinic for BAME communities in Edinburgh.
Are you African, Asian or from other Minority Ethnic Communities? You can now access our BAME Communities Outreach Sexual Health Clinic.
This clinic is an inclusive, welcoming space for you to get tested and discuss your health.
The clinic offers:
– Sexual Health Testing (HIV and Syphilis)
– PrEP Consultations (PrEP is a drug that prevents HIV infection)
– A clinical space to discuss any other sexual health questions
The clinic is held every third Tuesday of the month between 5pm and 7pm, at Uwagboe’s Kitchen & Grill (250-252 Leith Walk, Edinburgh, EH6 5EL). This is a drop-in clinic, and is completely free of charge – no need to book, just turn up.

Venue accessibility
Uwaogbe’s restaurant main entry is accessible by wheelchair; however, the testing clinic, located in the basement, is not. The basement floor of the restaurant is only accessible via steep stairs and may pose a challenge to people with restricted mobility. If you require further information or assistance on accessing the clinic, please get in touch.
Uwagboe’s Kitchen & Grill is approximatively 25 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Waverley Train Station.
Bus routes 7, 14, 16, 25, and 49 all drive through the city centre and stop within a few minutes walk of the venue. The bus stop you need tp get off at is called Balfour Street. Use Lothian Buses Journey Planner to plan your bus trip to us.
The nearest tram stop to Uwagboe’s Kitchen & Grill is Balfour Street.
The nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverley.
Then you can take any of the following buses:
- 7, 14, 16, 25, 49 (from Leith Street stop JD) down to Balfour Street
