Important Update: New location for Come and Sing!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we can no longer hold our Come and Sing event at St Cuthbert’s Church this Saturday. However, we’re excited to announce a fantastic new venue: the beautiful Greyfriars Kirk!

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope you’ll still join us for this unique musical experience.

Greyfriars Kirk is located within the historic Greyfriars Kirkyard, just off Candlemaker Row and close to the Grassmarket. It’s also a short walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station and the Bus Station. View on Google Maps here.

Address: Greyfriars Kirk, Greyfriars Place, Edinburgh EH1 2QQ

Date: 25/01/2025

Time: 10:00 – 17:00

We’re excited to welcome you this Saturday for a fantastic day of singing and celebration! Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you there.

Stephen Doughty, Chorus Director of the RSNO

Stephen Doughty, Chorus Director of the RSNO

Led by Stephen Doughty, Chorus Director of the RSNO, you’ll also have the chance to work alongside exceptional soloists: Alison McNeill (Soprano), Christian Schneeberger (Tenor), and Phil Gault (Bass), with Stuart Hope on piano and David Goodenough on organ.

You will spend the day learning the piece with the support of Stephen and his musicians.  We’ll finish with an extraordinary concert at 4pm, open to the public—and featuring YOU!

Open to all voices and abilities, whether you’re familiar with Carmina Burana or eager to dive into its dynamic choruses for the first time—you’ll be warmly welcomed!

Join us at the beautiful Greyfriars Kirk to experience the drama, intensity, and joy of this legendary work in support of Waverley Care. Tickets include all event materials and light refreshments on the day – however please note that you will need to provide your own lunch.

The money raised from ticket sales will help Waverley Care provide life-changing support and services to hundreds of people in Scotland affected by HIV and hepatitis. Thank you.

Please note tickets for this event have now sold out.
